The west side of the Funchal valley is a particularly attractive area, which, due to the natural inclination of the land, offers the best views of the city and of the sea. The Bica de Pau area, strategically situated within easy reach of the motorway (10 min from Funchal center) and the Palheiro Golf Course (2 min drive), is the creme de la creme of the area as far as residential properties are concerned.

The area is very peaceful and quiet. The views are unique, and have to be seen to be fully believed. The area is primarily one with villas, with very few apartments becoming available here.
